Covering the whole of East Sussex, Kent and Greater London, we provide a professional service, working in partnership with our clients to ensure an excellent quality build at a competitive price.

We have a pool of highly-skilled professionals to call on, covering all aspects of building work. Our team is hand-picked to reflect the high-levels of craftsmanship and ethos of our company. We employ locally and are proud that our services ensure money is put back into the community we are based in. We’re renowned for our communication skills – we’re always polite and always tidy up after ourselves!

Management

Christopher Dodwell
Director, Project Management

Chris has worked as a builder for over 40 years. His background includes aspects of architecture, design, art and even a stint as a building surveyor. Chris has a solid base in building work – with carpentry and joinery among his full cv of skills - but he now focuses on design and project management. Chris has re-located to Hastings from London and has gained an impressive reputation in the construction arena within the town and further afield. Any spare time he has is spent in renovating a Grade II listed town house – that’s how much he likes building!

Will Clarke
Director, Site Management

Will has been working as a builder for over 30 years. Starting as an apprentice plasterer aged 16, he has gone on to become skilled in all aspects of building work, and forge a successful career in the construction industry. Based in London for the first half of his working life, he then moved to Hastings and his business continued to go from strength to strength in his new seaside location. Joining forces with Chris Dodwell to form Hastings Building Services Ltd meant taking on bigger and more exciting projects. Will is married with three daughters – none of whom are keen to join the family firm!
